QAWWALI NIGHT WITH ASHAZ HUSSAIN QAWWALI GROUP LIVE IN CONCERT

We are having yet another QAWWALI NIGHT on Saturday 27th July 2024 at 6pm at Ferdowsi Hall. All proceeds will go to our chosen charity partner of the year.

FOOD - 3 Course Meal is included as part of ticket - including starters, main courses, desserts and a soft drink. Vegetarian options included.

Ashaz Hussain will be performing alongside his **8-MEMBER FAMILY GROUP INCLUDING MAIN VOCALIST, 1 TABLA PLAYER, 2 HARMONIUM PLAYERS, 4 SUPPORT SINGERS AND CLAPPERS **keeping alive the 800-year-old tradition of Qawwali in his family. As a generational Qawwal, he sings Qawwalis in a unique style that originates from his Gharana, showcasing his proficiency in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Farsi, Arabic, Poorvi and more. With a lifelong passion for music, Ashaz has been performing since childhood and has had the privilege of sharing his talent with audiences worldwide.

His family's rich musical heritage is evident in their performances, which have been featured on the BBC and at multiple melas across the UK. His paternal great-grandfathers, Tufail Ahmed and Qurban Hussain, were instrumental in creating the iconic track "Mera Piya Ghar Aaya", which was later rendered by the legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Additionally, his maternal grandfather, Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan, was the Ustad of renowned artists such as the Sabri Brothers, Naushad Ali Khan, Bashir Ahmad, and many more prominent figures in the Indian subcontinent.
