How do we get your information?
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

you may give us your personal data by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email.

You may provide personal data when you sign up to enquire about council provided service, request information, complete a survey, give us feedback or make a compliant

The information is directly provided by the resident, friend / family referring residents to voluntary organisations, and organisations referring residents to other organisations. Consent is explicitly provided by relevant parties at the time of referrals. We also collect information via site cookies, as outlined in the cookie policy, including IP addresses and website usage for the purpose of statistical analysis.
If it is not disproportionate or prejudicial, we’ll contact you to let you know we are processing your personal information.

The lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is Consent
- We rely on residents’ explicit consent when providing personal details to One Hounslow Connect at the time of referrals to various voluntary organisations currently listed on Hounslow Connect.

Why we need your information (purposes of processing)
The personal data we collect will be used for the following purposes:

Signpost residents to relevant voluntary organisations vetted by London Borough of Hounslow. Referrals to voluntary organisations are not endorsed by the Council or Hounslow Connect Team in any way and any information collected as part of referrals will also be subject to the organisation’s own privacy and data retention policies.

Communicate with residents via the use of campaign banners within Hounslow Connect to promote services for residents in need.

Carry out statistical analysis to plan provision of services.

Supporting and training staff to help produce reports for statistical analysis.
Who your information may be shared with (internally and externally)
We share your information with:
- Voluntary organisations when completing referrals (External – vetted by One Hounslow Connect)
We will strive to ensure that any personal data in our care will be kept safe and that where your information is disclosed to a third party working on our behalf, we will seek to ensure that they have sufficient systems and procedures in place to prevent the loss or damage of personal data.
How long we keep your information
We keep your referral details for no longer than necessary.
Information shared with third party voluntary organisation’s will be subjected to their own data retention policies which will apply separate from the Council.
We will then dispose your information in the most secure manner possible.

All the information you provide us is held within the UK & European Economic Area

We may analyze your personal information to improve the council’s services for the following purposes:
