Prepare to be disgusted by the tale of a river that was used as a sewer and as a result polluted the drinking water of thousands of Londoners who died from Cholera. But the tale doesn't end there - Stephen's talk will look at the pollution solutions and engineering feats provided by Sir Joseph Bazalgette, the Victorian engineer responsible for creating London's sewage system.
