St Paul’s Church has been part of the Hounslow landscape for well over 100 years, but was closed for worship in 2011 with a promise that it wouldn’t stay closed for long.
That promise came true – as St Paul’s officially reopened its doors as a worshipping church in October 2012 through partnership with both Holy Trinity Hounslow and two other churches a little further afield, St Stephen’s in Twickenham and Holy Trinity Brompton. At the invitation of the Bishop of Kensington, who oversees the Anglican churches in Hounslow, Rev'd Libby Etherington led the plant team from 2012 to 2017 and now Rev'd Claire Clarke is leading the continuing work of growing this new expression of St Paul’s. Along with The Church of the Good Shepherd- a local church at the heart of the Hounslow West and Meadows community together with our sister church St Paul’s on Bath Road, we meet throughout the week, sometimes for ‘church’, sometimes for prayer, sometimes for a coffee and chat. It’s for people who are wondering or worshipping, full of faith or full of doubt, introverts and extroverts…you should absolutely come along.
Our vision and values can be summed up as follows: Love Jesus, Love our church community and Love Hounslow West. If you would like to find out more about our churches, what we believe or what on earth we get up to - please get in touch or come along to see for yourself. As we seek to grow the work we are involved in, in the church and wider community, we are inviting local businesses and individuals to get involved in supporting the church practically and financially. We are a registered charity working in an area of mixed economy with many struggling financially and emotionally and we would like to do far more in the community if we had the resources. As of Autumn 2021 we officially became Hope Church Hounslow, one church two locations. Our St Pauls Location on Bath Road and Our Good Shepherd Lotion on Beavers Lane
