Work Hounslow are the Careers, Enterprise and Employment services for Hounslow Council.
We are here to support the growth of our community.
We provided targeted support to residents who are unemployed and have the right to work, helping them explore good-quality jobs, training or volunteering opportunities.
This support is designed for residents who need extra help accessing opportunities and services, including those with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) and those who have been in care.
From their first meeting with employment advisors to developing career plans, preparing applications and landing a job, we provide guidance every step of the way.
We also work closely with local businesses and organisations, including Heathrow, NHS, Lampton Group and more, to create meaningful pathways for residents who have experienced barriers to employment, building local talent and promoting an inclusive and diverse working environment.
By doing this, we are working to strengthen our local economy and help it thrive.
In 2023, Hounslow Council’s Lifelong Learning, Skills and Employment division – Work Hounslow, Learn Hounslow and Hounslow Connexions - achieved the Department for Education's (DfE) matrix Standard - please insert a weblink (https://matrixstandard.com/) to 'matrix Standard'. This is an international recognition for delivering high-quality information, advice and guidance (IAG) for young and adult residents living in the borough.
