The Isleworth & District branch is part of the South East Region of the Embroiderers’ Guild, along with 22 other branches in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. All the regular activities happen at St John’s; regional and national events elsewhere.

What is this club?

Monthly Meetings

On the fourth Thursday of the month (except December) from 7.30 pm to 9.45 pm. Click on the Branch Programme to see our plans for the coming year.

A mixture of talks, Branch projects, continuing your own work, problem solving, mini workshops and studying themed Guild folios to learn, inspire or just look is planned for the coming year.

There is no charge to attend for Branch members except for an optional modest 20p for a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.

Saturday Workshops

The workshops on a Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Attendance is usually limited to 15 participants, so early booking is encouraged. The cost varies but typically is around £30 plus materials. Participants must bring their own lunch or buy it locally. Click on Branch Programme for details.

Monday Group

On Mondays from 1.00 – 4.00 pm, these are practical classes in design, exploration and stitch for those with some experience of embroidery. This will be led by members of the group in the 2015 Spring Term. Cost £45 to cover room hire charges for a ten week term.

Thursday Stitching Group

This group meets throughout the year on the second Thursday of the month from 7.30pm to 10.00pm to stitch and chat. There is an additional charge for this to cover room hire.

Fun With Threads

A monthly Saturday morning group for children aged 5 to 17 years. Parents and carers are welcome to stay. All leaders are DBS (CRB) checked.
