When you have lost touch with a relative and there is not an open police investigation, we know relationships can break down for a variety of reasons, and that sometimes reaching out can be difficult. We promise to hear your story and not judge you.

What is this service?

Criteria

You must meet a list of criteria for us to take on your application.

Details

You must know the full name and date of birth of the missing person, and you must both be over 18.

Location

The missing person’s last known location must be within the UK.

Time

You must have been out of touch for at least 6 months, but within 20 years.

Relationship

You must be a direct relative of the missing person (includes step and foster parents/ siblings), and have had a substantial relationship with them.

Disclosure

You must be happy to talk in confidence and without judgement, about why the contact ended.

Reconnection

You must want to reconnect with your family member and re-build your relationship.
