Sarasvati Dance offers women-only belly dance classes in London, designed to help you feel confident, feminine, and connected to your body through movement.
Our classes combine technique, musicality, and expression in a warm and supportive environment, whether you are completely new or continuing your dance journey.
Beginner, Improver, and Advanced level classes
7-week structured courses and workshops
Egyptian-style belly dance with additional Iraqi and fusion influences
Technique-focused sessions with combinations and choreography
Small, supportive groups for personal attention
Across our courses, you will develop:
Hip isolations, accents, and control
Hip circles and figure 8 variations
Shimmies and travelling steps
Chest isolations and upper body movement
Arm positioning and graceful transitions
Musicality and expressive movement
Each class builds progressively, helping you gain confidence and move with ease.
Each 1-hour class includes:
Gentle warm-up
Technique breakdown and drills
Movement combinations
Cool down and stretch
Combinations are often recorded at the end of class so you can practise at home and track your progress.
All classes are:
Women-only
Open to all ages and body types
Designed to be welcoming and beginner-friendly
There is no pressure to be perfect — just a space to learn, move, and enjoy yourself.
Students are also supported throughout the course via a WhatsApp group, where they can ask questions, stay motivated, and connect with others.

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely, such as leggings and a top or a flowing skirt.
Colourful or flowy skirts are encouraged as they enhance movement, but they are completely optional.
Barefoot or dance shoes are both suitable.
Parking is available near the studio, with a mix of street parking and local options depending on the location.
We recommend allowing extra time before class to find a space. Full details are provided after booking.

Whether you’re trying belly dance for the first time or continuing your journey, Sarasvati Dance offers a space to move, express, and feel empowered.

Our belly dance classes are 1 hour long and run in 7-week courses, designed to help you build technique, confidence, and enjoy movement in a supportive, women-only environment.
Classes are available at beginner, improver, and advanced levels in Chiswick and Richmond.
To join, simply book your space online via our website. Places are limited to keep classes personal, so early booking is recommended.
Parking is available near the studio, with a mix of street parking and local parking options depending on the location.
We recommend allowing a little extra time before class to find a space, especially during busy hours.
