The Shopmobility service, based in central Hounslow, provides battery-powered scooters and manual wheelchairs that can be hired at affordable rates by residents of the London Borough of Hounslow and visitors of all ages to the borough with mobility issues.
Shopmobility membership is available to anyone with mobility issues whether permanent or temporary and you do not have to live within the London Borough of Hounslow to apply. Visitors to Hounslow with mobility issues can hire battery-powered scooters and wheelchairs. You do not need to be a registered disabled person, a regular wheelchair user or a Blue Badge holder to use the service.
To apply for membership you need to complete a simple form and provide two forms of identification e.g. utility bill , bank statement or drivers licence to confirm your address and a passport, drivers licence or Blue Badge to verify your signature.
