What is this activity?

Created by a top team of archaeologists, ecologists, geographers and historians, the Thames Explorer Challenge routes not only provide a great opportunity to get outdoors and get walking but – as each route is dotted with clues to hunt for and quiz questions to answer – it’s an opportunity to discover more about the mighty River Thames.

Who are the challenges for?

Simply everyone, the activities are aimed at individuals and groups – for those walking, in wheelchairs or with pushchairs. For extra pointers on navigating our walks, on or with wheels, there is an accessibility supplement available with each route.

Best of all… signing up to the challenge is absolutely free, thanks to funding from our supporters* at Thames Water and City Bridge Trust.

So, are you ready to step up to the challenge?
