What is this service?

Sessions are:

  • provided by one of our trained and supervised Volunteer Counsellors

  •  by telephone for 50 minutes each

  • on the same day and time each week over 12 weeks

Our counsellors are all trained in bereavement awareness and are given supervision to help them assist our clients effectively.  Supervision also provides support for their own emotional well being and professional development, whilst maintaining quality control.

The process from the initial referral to allocation to one of our counsellors can take between 4 days to 4 weeks, as it depends on the client's needs and availability.

We ask all clients to read and agree to a contract to safeguard clients, counsellors and our services at the start of sessions.

We can offer counselling in over 12 languages, as we aim to meet the needs of our diverse community.
