Community NHS Health Checks

We are a team of NHS healthcare professionals working out of a converted ambulance to provide a number of health & wellbeing services at locations around Hounslow. We provide the following services:

1. Information, guidance and blood pressure reading

Our knowledgeable staff are here to answer any questions you may have on healthy lifestyles, cardiovascular risk, and what that means for you. We can also do a simple Blood Pressure reading, discuss the result and record this on your NHS patient record so your GP or any other health professional can follow up with you if needed.

2. Comprehensive NHS health check:

The NHS Health Check is a world-leading prevention programme with almost 1.5 million people having the check every year. It can tell you whether you are at higher risk of getting certain health problems such as diabetes, heart disease or stroke. We ask questions about family history, exercise, smoking, alcohol consumption, and conduct blood pressure checks, take height and weight measurements and carry out a pinprick blood test for sugars and cholesterol.

3. CVD Health coaching:

We have Health & Wellbeing coaches on hand to talk with residents about managing their cardiovascular risk, supporting and motivating them to making changes to their lifestyle. If interested and eligible, residents would be able to access up to 6 coaching sessions over a 12 week period. 

4. Referrals to lifestyle interventions:

We are partnered with MoreLife, Lampton Leisure and Beezee Bodies to provide community physical activity on referral, weight management, healthy eating, smoking cessation, additional health coaching, cook and eat sessions and other learning opportunities.
