A weekly social for those with dementia and memory issues, their carers, and loved ones. Brought to you by Visiting Angels South Middlesex and Age UK Hounslow. Enjoy rotating weekly dementia-friendly activities.
What is this service?
Lampton Leisure host monthly memory cafes at their centres. Currently there is a regular Memory Cafe at Heston Pools and Fitness.
Soon there will be a Memory Cafe at New Chiswick Pool, date to be confirmed.
The Memory Cafés are open to those living with dementia, their families and carers, and anyone seeking support with their mental health.
Enjoy a hot drink, cake, friendly chats, and dementia-friendly games. They aim to provide a friendly and supportive space for residents.
Lampton Leisure also run dementia-friendly swim and water activities at Heston Pools and Fitness for residents living with dementia, these sessions are delivered in partnership with LBHSC (London Borough of Hounslow Swimming Club).
These sessions will run for 12 weeks from 9th January to 3rd April, excluding the February half-term week.
Enjoy the benefits of gentle swimming sessions, followed by the Memory Cafe.
