Our Employment Opportunities Service is dedicated to supporting residents with disabilities in paid employment, career progression, retention and development. We prioritise job retention by offering efficient solutions to any challenges that may arise for both employees and employers. Our ultimate goal is to overcome barriers that affect job stability and enhance retention rates for disabled individuals in the workforce.
If you seek paid work or want to take steps towards employment, our service is designed to assist and advise you. We provide comprehensive support tailored to your specific needs, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce and ongoing assistance throughout your employment journey.
For employees, our service offers comprehensive advice tailored to the resident’s skills and abilities. We work closely with candidates to understand their individual needs and provide personalised support. Our goal is to ensure that employees with disabilities are given equal consideration for employment and have access to suitable career opportunities so they can get independence, a sense of value and flourish within their communities.
On the employer side, we partner with organisations of all sizes and industries to promote disability-inclusive hiring practices. We assist employers in creating job postings that are inclusive and accessible, and we inform them of the benefits of a diverse workforce. We facilitate connections between employers and qualified candidates, ensuring that both parties can find the right match for their needs. Additionally, we offer resources and training to help employers foster an inclusive work environment, accommodate employees with disabilities, and promote long-term retention.
