What is this service?

Young people with learning disabilities face many barriers to achieving any form of employment, especially paid employment, which is very disheartening.  The opportunities available to adults with learning disabilities once they have left education are minimal so along with our other programmes Dramatize have created our very own job programme.

Our aims are to enhance the job prospects of our students by providing meaningful work opportunities within our own company with the end purpose being to increase our students employment possibilities and build upon their future aspirations.

The work experience will be carried out within our Tea Room, Upcycling business, allotment and our care provisions.  Our work placements will concentrate on following instructions, working as a team, working with the public and building upon their customer service skills.  Our students will follow a training program within the work placement supported by a member of staff.

As well as this we will work with our students on how to write a CV, how to complete an application form and how to present yourself at a job interview.

For further information please contact a member of the Dramatize team.
