Organisation

Age UK Hounslow

The founding principles of the organisation are to provide services for older people regardless of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, ethnicity or religious belief.

Whatever your requirement, we will aim to assist you - if we are unable to help directly, we will try to suggest where assistance could be provided.

Our emphasis is on developing ‘preventative’ services in partnership with statutory and voluntary-sector partners. These include the London Borough of Hounslow, St Mary's University College, and Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Primary Care Trust amongst others.

The service involves Age UK Hounslow volunteers who have been recruited, inducted and trained to speak to elderly and vulnerable residents at home.  We aim to match a volunteer, called a `Befriender’ to the resident taking on board language issues / interests etc where possible.
