Ealing Mencap is a charity that was set up in 1965. We’re part of the Mencap network. We raise our own funds and operate entirely independently of the national organisation.

At the After School Club, 14-18 year olds with learning disabilities can meet new friends and enjoy fun activities such as arts, cooking, IT, sport, dance and music and more.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic many young disabled people have lost the job they worked so hard for. We can provide specialist 1:1 support for up to 12 weeks to help them find a new position as quickly as possible.

At Project SEARCH T5, you will join a supported internship programme based at the Hilton Hotel, Heathrow Terminal 5, which is designed to develop your hospitality and workplace skills.

Our short residential trips happen twice a year. Being away from home increases self-confidence and independence and allows young people with learning disabilities to meet new friends and have new experiences in a new environment.

At Saturday Club, 14-25 year olds with learning disabilities can meet new friends, learn new skills and enjoy fun activities such as arts, cooking, gardening, sport, outings and more. Activities take place at one of our centres or out in the community.

School Holiday Club is for 14-18 year olds and runs for a total of 20 days during school holidays. Young people with learning disabilities can meet new friends and enjoy fun activities and outings.

Travel training enables young people with learning and other disabilities to travel between home and school or college safely and independently using public transport. We provide travel training in the Borough of Hounslow.

At our work preparation project, Dare to Dream, adults with learning and other disabilities can become more independent and gain the skills and confidence to progress into paid work.
