What Job Could I Get?

The job market is tough at the moment, but Ealing Mencap has a good relationship with many local businesses and charities who are keen to offer employment opportunities to suit different people’s skill levels and interests. Organisations we already work with include:

  • British Land

  • ACER

  • Boots Ltd

  • GLL (Better)

  • British Heart Foundation shop

  • League of Friends shop

  • Noon (Kerry Foods)

We encourage employers to offer short work placements, rather than traditional interviews. We find these provide a great opportunity for people to show their true skills and abilities in the working environment. Many people have been offered permanent paid employment as a result of a successful placement.

What happens once you have offered a job?

Once a job offer has been received we will still be on hand to help you through the onboarding process and settling in. We will be contactable  for any support or advice you and your employer may need.
