Special People Ltd provides person-centred support for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, physical disabilities, mental health needs and other support needs. We work with individuals, families, carers, schools, local authorities, health professionals and community partners to help people live safely, confidently and independently.

Our support is flexible and built around each person’s strengths, routines, culture, communication style and goals. We support people at home, in the community and during planned activities, including daily living, personal care, community access, social inclusion, life skills, respite and short breaks, transition support, holiday and after-school activities, family support and complex care packages. We also support people who need extra help because of behaviour that challenges, sensory needs, anxiety, communication difficulties or multiple disabilities.

At Special People Ltd, we believe every person should have the opportunity to be heard, valued and included. Our approach is warm, respectful and practical. We take time to understand what matters to the person and their family, then develop support that promotes choice, dignity, safety and independence. We aim to reduce isolation, build confidence, support wellbeing and help people take part in ordinary community life.

We are keen to work with residents and families across Hounslow, including people looking for reliable support, families seeking respite, carers who need guidance, and professionals looking for a responsive provider for people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs. We understand that finding the right support can feel difficult, especially when needs are changing or when families are preparing for adulthood, education changes, hospital discharge, new accommodation or increased independence.

Our team can work alongside social workers, SEND teams, community nurses, GPs, schools, colleges, voluntary organisations and local community services to create joined-up support around the person. We are committed to safeguarding, clear communication, respectful partnership working and continuous improvement.
