What is this service?

At MyMental, we believe mental and physical wellbeing are closely connected. Alongside our mental health services, we offer dedicated Physical Health and Strength & Conditioning support for adults aged 18+.

Our physical health service is designed to help people improve their strength, mobility, movement, confidence and overall physical wellbeing in a supportive and accessible way.

Sessions can be suitable for people who want to become more active, rebuild their strength, improve general fitness or feel more confident with movement. We can also support people experiencing reduced mobility, living with chronic pain, returning to activity after a period of inactivity, or simply wanting a structured and personalised approach to improving their physical health.

Support is tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme. Your current ability, goals, lifestyle and any limitations are taken into consideration when planning sessions.

Our Strength & Conditioning support can include:

• Building strength and general physical conditioning

• Improving mobility and movement

• Increasing confidence with exercise and physical activity.

• Supporting people living with chronic pain or reduced mobility

• Helping people gradually return to physical activity

• Supporting healthy ageing and maintaining independence

• Improving general fitness, balance and physical wellbeing

• Creating realistic and sustainable exercise routines

Our Physical Health Lead has a background in Sports Science and Strength & Conditioning, alongside experience working within NHS physiotherapy services.

Sessions are available online with in-person coming soon, depending on location and availability.

You do not need to already be fit or regularly exercising to access the service. We welcome people at different stages of their physical health journey and aim to provide practical, encouraging support that works around the individual.
