If you need guidance on what changes to make, the council's Falls Assessment Coordinator can arrange an assessment in your own home. The assessment can help you to identify particular areas of risk and advise on actions to reduce them. In some circumstances, the Coordinator can directly organise services such as the installation of grab rails by the Handy Persons Team, telecare services or assessment by the Occupational Therapy Team for specialist aids or equipment.
